ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a disease that causes muscle wasting because the motor nerve cells that send signals from the brain to the muscles are damaged.

These cells die for unknown reasons and to varying pace from person to person. The sensory and cognitive are unaffected and the disease tends to affect active and ambulatory individuals.

The first symptoms of ALS are often marked as weakening of an arm, a leg or slurred speech. The average lifespan is two to five years.

Most people are not aware that ALS in itself is rarely the cause of death. various complications are often the reason.

I feel very astute. I’m not a dying person. On the contrary. I am full of life but because of the disease, I need a team of assistants. I also need harmony and a team that does not drain my energy.
